I don't look like you or talk like you because God made me different. I have a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy and I need a lot of help every day because my muscles don't work.
I love my life even though it's not easy. I have a wonderful family and good friends. God has given me joy so every day is a good day even when life is hard.
I have never let my disease or anything keep me from living my life to the fullest! I've been zip-lining, go on rollercoasters, and do other things that surprises everyone. I believe Philippians 4:13, which says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
I have four college degrees and want to get my Master's degree next. I love learning and I believe everyone has a purpose to help make this world a little better.
Even though I can't move, I have always loved helping others since I was a little girl. I started Candy Cane Kids in 2010 as a way to share hope with kids like you.
I want to share the love of Jesus with everyone because He has been so good to me and given me a wonderful life!
